March/April

Once again, I have fallen a bit behind on posts. Here is what we have been up to:

Olivia loves playing outside! She throws a fit when we try to go back in the house. We are excited for the weather to keep getting nicer so that we can spend as much time as possible outside with her.

All this playing sure makes a girl thirsty!

I got my shoes--can we go outside now?

Wearing sunglasses-just like daddy!

Coloring has become another favorite pasttime for Olivia.

Olivia's hair is getting so out of control. She is so wild all the time though, that it's almost impossible for us to do anything with it. She rarely sits still long enough to get a pony in it. Here she is taking matters into her own hands and trying to put in a hair clip.

This is what happens when Olivia refuses to take a nap at daycare. She falls asleep in her high chair during dinner.

Olivia enjoys books. She is getting so indpendent now too. She insists on reading books herself.

Playing in her toybox. This is about the only way to keep her in one place long enough to get anything done.

Riding her pony! Olivia can now get on and off her pony all by herself. She likes walking with it all over the house.

We had a nice quiet Easter weekend here in Devils Lake. They had a big Easter Egg hunt for kids, so we took Olivia down there for a while. She had a blast! She wasn't scared of the Easter Bunny, but she did get pretty serious when sitting on its lap.

I think Olivia could have crawled around in the straw picking up eggs all day. This was her favorite part!

They also had a duck pond for the kids. Olivia was so excited to check it out that she did not want to wait in line. It's so hard to be patient when you are 1!
 Finally! The duck pond!

Great Grandma Irene got Olivia an Easter egg dying kit for her birthday, so we used it to color Easter eggs over the weekend. Olivia enjoyed sticking her hands in the dye and had very colorful hands by the end of it. She also liked throwing the eggs on the floor. As you can see by the pictures, we had a few cracked and smashed eggs by the end. Oh well-We had fun and that's all that matters.

Olivia in her Easter dress. It gets harder and harder to get a nice picture of her. She is just so busy!
