Back in late April we made a quick trip to Bismarck to celebrate Dana's graduation. I could kick myself for only getting like 2 pictures the entire weekend! I guess that's the way it goes when your busy chasing around a busy kid! Anyway, here is a picture of Olivia and Nadia all ready to go swimming at the hotel. It was a fun weekend and we enjoyed getting to see all the family that made it to Bismarck for the weekend!
In May we headed down to Mitchell to see my family. We were celebrating Jackie's high school graduation. Jenni had just graduated college the week before too! I did a little better with the camera this weekend. Here are some photos-

After Jackie's graduation, Dustin and I went back home, and Olivia spent the week in Mitchel with my family. It was her first time away from home alone and she did great! We missed her so much though!
So, what did we do with all of the free time we had the week she was gone? Well, we worked our butts off on our current house project--a new patio and walk way. Here are some pictures of our project
These are all the pallets of patio block we used. Each of the blocks weighs about 18lbs. We used almost every block you see here, and installed most of them within about 24 hours. Needless to say, we were a bit sore for a few days...

I also finally was able to finish my quilt for Olivia in May. I started this quilt about a month or 2 before Olivia was born. I was very excited to finally finish it!
In June we headed over to the cities to celebrate Dustin's dad's birthday. On our way to the cities, Dustin and I took Olivia to the zoo in Fargo. Here she got to pet some of the animals, play at the park and ride the carousel.
We rented some cabins south of the cities. The camp resort was awesome!! They had a ton of activities and even a petting zoo! We ate lots of good food, went swimming, rented paddle boats and a pontoon, hung out at the petting zoo, played mini golf and enjoyed some time just being lazy and visiting.

We also got to visit Dion, Laura and their new baby Chase. He sure was a sweetheart! I forgot my camera at the campground when we went to visit though, so I wasn't able to get a picture.
Olivia has become much more independent lately. She now often will only eat if she can do it all by herself. She started out pretty good with this cup of chocolate pudding. The end result was an early bath and me having to do laundry a couple days earlier than I planned. She had fun though!
Dustin had to work the day before Father's day, so Olivia and I spent the day fingerpainting him some father's day pictures. She started out pretty serious about the whole thing, but got a little silly at the end. I don't know if she got more fingerpaint on the paper, herself or the wall and floor...
One of Olivia's favorite things to do is play with her babies. It is so sweet! She gives them hugs & kisses, rocks them, changes their diapers, etc... She usually takes a baby with us wherever we go.
Dustin was drawn for an elk tag this year. A couple of weeks ago he took Olivia back to the farm with him when we went out to do some scouting. Olivia got to spend some time with grandma Dorita while Dustin and his dad were doing some elk scouting and research.
When Dustin came back home, he left Olivia at the farm to spend a few days with grandpa and grandma. She had so much fun!

Last year we planted a tree at the farm for Olivia. Here is a picture of Olivia with her tree.
The other day we were playing outside with Olivia. It was extremely hot and humid, so she was playing in her swimming pool. When she got out, she insisted on wearing Dustin's tshirt. It was so hot, she had to have been miserable in it, but she refused to take it off!
She has started getting particular on what she wears lately, especially when it comes to shoes. Some days she screams when you try to put her shoes on. She will then go get the pair that she wants to wear, and let you put those on. She might look like her daddy, but she certainly has some of her mommy's personality traits! :)
Just sitting outside talking on the phone. Olivia frequently grabs one of our phones and will put it up to her ear and start jabbering. I really wish i knew what she was saying some days!
Happy Fourth of July! We started the fourth off with a parade. Olivia really enjoyed it. I think her favorite part was probably just the fact that we let her run around in the street!
After the parade (and after a little nap), we got out on the lake and did some fishing. Olivia was pretty good on the boat and had a blast watching the fish (we actually caught some!). Later in the evening we went to a friend's house for a BBQ, and then finished the night off at our place watching the city fireworks. All in all it was a pretty good day!

Olivia is such a daddy's girl! She just has to help him with everything. Tonight Dustin was working on the base for our back landing. As you can see, Olivia helped by handing (throwing) him screws/nails and holding the pieces together (pushing them over). Looks like we will be getting her a toy toolbelt for Christmas instead of dress up clothes!
